Angle of Incidence and Polarization Insensitive Ultra-Thin Ultra Wide-Band Metamaterial Absorber based on Novel Non-Linearity in Unit Cell Design

A new design of an ultra wide-band metamaterial absorber (MMA), with appreciable high absorptance insensitive to angle incidence and polarization is presented in the manuscript. The MMA structure consists three concentric rings non-linear variation spacing thickness controlled by a single parameter. idea utilizing nonlinear based unit cell resulted frequency spectrum X -band. proposed layered structure. nature device explained simulated values Z eff( f ), μ ε η ). FWHM bandwidth 6.32 GHz (7.36 GHz-13.68 GHz). fabricated ultra-thin λo/15.3 at centre 9.8 GHz. experimental results show greater than 99% 7.9 11.7 GHz, covering entire -band range makes this appropriate for providing stealth technology defense equipments reducing radar cross section (RCS).
